Recently, I was whining to my mom about the fact that Molly pulls rubber bands and bows out of her hair, and is a general spaz when I try to comb it ir do anything with it. She reminded me that when I was young, I used to pout and whine while she did my hair, and I swore that if I ever had a little girl I would let her wear her hair however she wanted and I would never force braids or bows or anything else. And you know what? I totally remember saying it. Crap.

Cr@p. Take it back!
When I was little, my mom braided my hair and I hated it. I told her someday I would let my own little girl wear her hair any way she wanted, but evidently I forgot. You're carrying out a fine Murphy tradition with Molly! Someday she'll have a little girl . . .
Love you -
Mom
