Picnic Time

It's summer an the season for graduation parties, picnics and family gatherings. So we've been busy! This weekend we had a graduation party on Saturday and a family picnic on Sunday. And later this week we have another party. Patrick has been enjoying getting out and spending time with family and friends. Yesterday we were in Pacifica and as we drove into town I was a little worried about the weather. (what's that saying about the summer in San Francisco?)...



But it ended up being a completely beautiful day. Patrick got to meet a bunch of his cousins (maybe second cousins once removed?), learned how to spike a volleyball, and just have lots of fun.









In other news, Patrick talks non-stop right now. He doesn't do it around a lot of people though, so I'm not sure anyone believes me. He sort of narrates his life, often referring to himself in the third person, and he likes to repeat things 5 or 6 times. He can also carry on conversations with his little friends, but for some reason he clams up around adults. I really need to take some video of it, if I really get my act together I might be able to figure out how to post video on the blog!

Train Time

Patrick and I went on another train ride this afternoon, when we got off the train and started to head home Patrick shouted out "Bye bye train! Thank you train driver man!". I busted up.

Big Daddy

Happy Father's Day! Patrick and I took Tom for a picnic lunch at nearby Shoreline Park. We had originally intended to go to the beach but Patrick's fear of the sand and the lack of desire to spend serious time in the car kept us closer to home. I had been trying to teach Patrick to say "Happy Father's Day" but every single time he repeated it back as "Happy Mother's Day!". So close, yet so far away!

Small Talk

Patrick hasn't stopped talking in the last few months. Sometimes I wonder where he is picking things up (Tom), he's busted out with some real funnies...

By The Sea

We went on a little road trip today to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and had a blast. Patrick has been really into sea creatures and he seemed to "get it" a bit more with this visit. I got the chance to play with my camera and even read the manual a little!

June Bug

Time is flying! Summer is almost here and the weather is finally consistently nice. We spent some time at the park this morning with friends and had a lovely time. This afternoon Patrick sat in his stroller all 4 blocks to downtown, it was a big deal for me because he is so against sitting in the stoller and if we tried to walk together he would insist on being carried which just isn't doable as he creeps up near 30 pounds.
